The Perks of Being a Teacher
Back in November, you may recall, I grew a Glorious Moustache as part of the Movember campaign to raise money and awareness for male cancer initiatives. I raised money by allowing my students to vote for the style of moustache they wanted to see me cultivate. The undisputed winner was “The Trucker.”
During that time one of my students came to me and asked to take pictures of me from the front and in profile. She said she was making a bust of me for her art project. Today it was presented to me as a gift. Below, a picture of the bust and a picture of myself for comparison—can you tell which is which?
Actually, apart from the ears, I don’t think it’s far off. The one thing she said to me when she presented it to me: “I forgot to paint your lips.”
